Kingussie & Skye win as Lovat are held

Skye continued their strong Mowi Premiership run with a 3-2 home win over Kyles to leapfrog Lovat into second place, two points behind Kingussie, who maintained their 100% record with a 2-1 home win over Oban Camanachd.
Lovat, meanwhile, dropped a point in a 3-3 draw with Lochaber. Glenurquhart's duck remains after seven games following a 4-1 defeat by Newtonmore and Caberfeidh defeated Kinlochshiel 2-0.
The pick of the Tulloch Camanachd Cup first-round ties for lower league clubs involved Fort William coming back from two goals down at half-time to eliminate local rivals Kilmallie 5-2, while Strathglass frightened Beauly by taking them to extra time before losing 4-1 and Inveraray swamped Aberdour 9-0.
Jamie Gillies and Kenny Cushnie gave Skye a 2-0 lead before Luke Thornton pulled one back for Kyles just before half-time. Scott MacDonald equalised and Dan MacDonald grabbed Skye's winner just after the hour.
Dylan Borthwick gave Kingussie a half-time lead at The Dell, Daniel MacVicar drew Camanachd level and, three minutes later, Ruaridh Anderson maintained Kingussie's perfect record.
Lochaber went ahead at Spean Bridge through Stuart Callison but Lewis Tawse replied instantly, as did Marc MacLachlan to Lochaber's second from Ben Delaney. Graeme MacMillan edged Lovat ahead for the first time but Callison's second in the penultimate minute snatched a point for Lochaber.
Daniel MacLean responded to Cameron MacNiven's early opener for Newtonmore, who then ran away with the game when MacNiven's second was bookended by a double from Martin Hall.
Two from the prolific Craig Morrison helped Caberfeidh take the points at Strathpeffer.
In the cup, Calum MacDougall and Ben MacKinnon set Kilmallie up with what looked like a comfortable half-time lead but Fort William surged back with a hat-trick from Victor Smith and goals from Cam Stephen and Ryan Boyle.
After a goalless first half at Cannich, Robbie Stokes edged Strathglass in front and Finlay MacLennan took the tie to extra time, during which Ryan MacKay, Jack MacDonald and Euan McCormick clinched progress for Beauly.
Ewan Donnan, Lewis Montgomery, Fraser Watt and Zander McKinlay scored twice and Campbell Watt got a single for Inveraray without reply from Aberdour.
In the other Camanachd Cup ties, Inverness progressed 5-0 at Ardnamurchan, Bute had a late 3-2 win away to Col Glen and Glasgow Mid Argyll overwhelmed 11-man Kilmory at Yoker.
