Guernsey bowler Rose Ogier has won two gold medals at the 2025 Island Games in Orkney.

Ogier took women's singles gold before teaming up with Julie Williams to win the women's pairs title - upgrading the silver she won at pairs two years ago.

Having previously competed at the World Championships, Commonwealth Games and European Championships, Ogier won four of her five singles group matches to take the title on set difference from Orkney's Isla Rendall.

She and Williams also won four of their five pairs games as they again denied Orkney by set difference as Elizabeth McConnachie and Ruth Rendall had to settle for silver.

"It's awesome, I'm over the moon," Ogier told BBC Radio Guernsey.

"I thought I'd fluffed it because I played a pretty poor first set this morning and I only managed to draw in the second set," she said after her only singles loss to Rendall.

"I thought I'd blown my chances, but luckily I've managed to get it on shot difference, which is a bit of a sneaky way to do it, but that's the rules of the game and I'm absolutely overjoyed.

"I'm so emotional about it because it is a big deal, it's been a fantastic tournament, everyone's been awesome here and the green's been lovely to play on."

Meanwhile Guernsey archers Lisa Gray and Jason Le Page secured a bronze in Mixed Recurve Head to Head Team Knockout.

They lost their semi-final 5-3 to Jersey's gold medallists Molly Perrett and Fred Crosby, but recovered to beat Menorca's Roberto Gomez Gonzalez and Duna Anne Rocha Martos 5-4 in the bronze medal match.
