Bulut defends style from 'boring' claims

Erol Bulut has responded to some fans’ claims his football is boring.
The Cardiff City manager has said he would like to hone his methods next season, if he remains at the Championship club.
He said: “Of course, we have to see what kind of transfers we can get and then we can also change a few things.”
The Bluebirds manager has been criticised for an unadventurous approach, particularly at home.
Cardiff have won nine league games in front of their own fans – exactly the same number as victories on the road.
They are currently in 11th position on 59 points, with four games remaining as they prepare to face Millwall away on Saturday.
Asked how he responded to accusations of “boring” football, Bulut said: “Of course, sometimes you cannot have every game how you want.
“I would like to have the game or how they expect the game for us, but you are not alone on the field, you have opponents. Sometimes the opponents will not allow things and maybe we don’t have a good day.
“During the season we have had this many times. Then you don’t have the consistency. This is a key point why we are may be no more close to the play-offs.”
Cardiff have scored the lowest number of goals from open play in the division – 20. Their top scorers are strikers Kion Etete and Karlan Grant with six goals each, alongside full-back Perry Ng.
But they boast the best set-piece record in the Championship with 19 goals scored from this mode of attack.
Bulut said: “Sometimes you have to adapt. For some fans it can be boring... I have a structure, I know what I want from my team and they know how I want to play.”
