Guernsey's cyclists have won women's team time trial silver at the 2025 Island Games.

Pippa Inderwick finished fifth and Andrea Nightingale in eighth as their times counted towards Guernsey finishing second behind a dominant Gibraltar.

The gold medal winners took three of the top four places, including first place for Olivia Lett, and finished almost four minutes ahead of Guernsey.

Chloe Truffitt - who raced in the triathlon 24 hours earlier - was 12th for Guernsey, who also had Hannah Kennedy in their team as they finished 17 seconds ahead of bronze medallists Shetland.

"I'm absolutely ecstatic to win a silver medal," Nightingale told BBC Radio Guernsey.

"It was really tough, especially being first one off. I really couldn't have given anymore and to share this with Pippa and Chloe makes it all the more special."

Meanwhile Guernsey's Philip Touzeau claimed a bronze medal in the men's individual time trial.

Touzeau was third behind Orkney's gold medallist Tom Lynch, who was almost three minutes ahead of the field.

The Guernseyman ended just nine seconds behind Gibraltar's Colin Tester who took silver.
