Robson sacked as Aberdeen boss

Barry Robson has been sacked as Aberdeen manager, with the Pittodrie club eighth in Scottish Premiership after 21 games.
The former Dons midfielder took over on an interim basis a year ago, leading his side to an incredible late charge to third place and group stage European football.
However, Aberdeen currently trail Hearts by 18 points - albeit with two games in hand - leading to a large sense of fan frustration.
Robson led the club to this season's Viaplay Cup final, losing to Rangers, as well as securing their first win in a European group stage match in 16 years, beating Bundesliga heavyweights Eintracht Frankfurt in their final outing of a frustrating campaign.
But with just six wins in the league and Tuesday's draw with a Dundee side who lie one place above him, the 45-year-old has left Pittodrie club due their "unacceptable" position in the league.
“Although it has been a difficult call, the Board felt the change was necessary and in the best interests of Aberdeen FC,” chairman Dave Cormack said.
“There is a talented squad of players at the Club which makes our current league position unacceptable. With 17 games left in the league and still in the Scottish Cup, this change is necessary to help us refocus on our ambitions for the rest of the season."
