Etherington celebrates his win in the 110m hurdles

Guernsey's Glenn Etherington secured the island's fourth athletics gold at the Island Games when he comfortably won the 110m hurdles.

The Sarnian recorded a time of 14.96 in the final, with the Isle of Man's Thomas Riley taking silver in 15.13.

The bronze medal went to Saaremaa's Raigo Saar, who edged Jersey's Peter Irving into fourth.

In the women's 100m hurdles, there was disappointment for Guernsey's Kylie Robilliard as she failed to finish.

Robilliard, who won the 100m on Monday,, external pulled up short of the line in the hurdles with an injury, bringing hopes of defending her title from 2009 to an end.

Guernsey's other two athletics golds came in the half marathon, where Lee Merrien won the individual race,, external helping his teammates to win team gold as well.
