Morgan Lake equals GB high jump record that had stood for 18 years

World junior heptathlon champion Morgan Lake has equalled a British high jump record that has stood for 18 years.

The 17-year-old cleared 1.89m at an indoor meeting in the Czech Republic on Sunday, matching the Under-20 record set by Michelle Dunkley in 1997.

Lake next competes against GB's outdoor record holder Katarina Johnson-Thompson at the British Athletics Indoor Championships in Sheffield on Saturday.

In the 60m hurdles, Lawrence Clark ran a lifetime best of 7.59 seconds.

The 2010 Commonwealth bronze medallist, external finished runner-up to France's Dimitri Bascou at a meeting in Mondeville on Saturday.

In Germany, world indoor 60m champion Richard Kilty equalled his season's best of 6.57s to finish runner up to Germany's Christian Blum.
