European 200m silver medallist Jodie Williams has withdrawn from the British squad for next week's European Team Championships in Cheboksary, Russia.

The 21-year-old is one of seven Britons to pull out of the event which takes place on 20 and 21 June.

Williams was initially named in the women's 4x100m and 4x400m squads and has been replaced by Louise Bloor.

The other six athletes to withdraw are Kate Avery, Dan Awde, Jack Green, Kelly Massey, Brett Morse and Ross Murray.

They will be replaced by Oliver Aitchison (men's 1500m), Sebastian Rodger (men's 400m hurdles), Zane Duqemin (men's discus); Richard Buck, Delano Williams (both men's 4x400m), Margaret Adeoye (women's 400m), Lauren Deadman (women's 3000m) and Louise Bloor (women's 4x100m).
