European Team Championships: Britain fifth after dramatic finale

Second place in the men's 4x400m relay helped Great Britain finish fifth overall in the European Team Championships.
Richard Buck, in the final leg, was beaten on the line by Thomas Jordier as France set a new Championship record of three minutes, 47 seconds to win.
The 11 points earned in the last of the 40 events in Cheboksary, Russia, meant Britain moved above Italy into fifth.
Russia won the 12-team event, with Germany second and France third.
Britain had started the second day fourth in the standings - helped by victory in the men's 4x100m relay on Saturday.

On Sunday, Bianca Williams finished second in the women's 200m, while Danny Talbot was second in the men's 200m.
There were third-place finishes for Andrew Butchart in the men's 3000m, Lawrence Clarke in the 110m hurdles and Rhianwedd Price in the women's 1500m.
