DK Metcalf: NFL star clocks 10.37 in 100m at Golden Games

He may have failed in his bid to qualify for the Olympics but American football star DK Metcalf impressed at the Golden Games on Sunday, running 10.37 seconds in the 100m.
The wide receiver, 23, was hoping to secure a place at United States Olympic trials but came last in his heat.
He said he was "just happy" to be able to compete with "world-class athletes".
Metcalf finished 15th overall from a field of 17 with American Cravon Gillespie winning the final in 9.96.
Great Britain's CJ Ujah was fourth in 10.03 as he clocked the Olympic qualifying standard with his fastest time in the event since 2017.

The 6ft 3in, 100kg star needed to run 10.05 seconds or faster to automatically qualify for the trials or finish as one of the next fastest times in a sanctioned athletics event.
Metcalf started strongly but faded in the final 20 metres.
"To test my speed up against world class athletes - just having the opportunity to run against these guys was a blessing," Metcalf said.
"They do this for a living. This is very different from football speed."
