    An intriguing long jump final is emerging meanwhile, as Olympic champion Miltiadis Tentoglou only jumps 7.91m with his second effort, leaving him down in seventh.

    That was an incredible collision between Sander Skotheim and Johannes Erm there, the pair all but came to blows as they went around that final lap.

    They seem to have made up quickly however, shaking hands and now posing together with their respective national flags.

    Sander Skotheim led from the second event onwards and the Norwegian is the deserving winner of the heptathlon here.

    Skotheim's 6475 points is 38 ahead of Johannes Erm, who set an Estonian national record to take silver.

    Sander Skotheim and Johannes Erm literally go shoulder to shoulder around the bend, a bit of argy-bargy there.

    Skotheim will win gold, but Erm quite literally going down fighting.

    It would be amazing if the Estonian managed that.

    The first medals of the final day will be determined shortly, as the seventh and final event of the heptathlon takes place.

    Sander Skotheim leads the field into the 1,000m, and this is one of the Norwegian's strongest events. He has the quickest personal best of anyone in this field.
