'Unity and heart' the focus for Team Wales in Glasgow
Chef de mission Gethin Jones says success at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow won't be measured solely by the number of medals won by Team Wales athletes.
While podium finishes are a major goal, Jones hopes the team will also be recognised for their performances, resilience and collective spirit.
His role will include leading and motivating athletes and support staff, representing Wales at official functions, and acting as the team's spokesperson in the build-up to and during the Games.
With exactly one year to go until the slimmed-down Glasgow Games, Jones delivered his first address to Team Wales athletes and delegates since being appointed to his role.
