Oduwaiye aims to 'prove everyone right' at Worlds
Welsh para-thrower Funmi Oduwaiye says is looking forward to "proving everyone right" as she targets a first medal at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi.
Oduwaiye, 22, will compete in the F44 discus and shot put in India having overcome the "shellshock" of competing at her first world championships in Paris in 2023.
She finished sixth in the discus and fourth in the shot put at her debut games before finishing eighth in discus and fifth in shot put at the 2024 Paralympics.
Oduwaiye took up para-athletics in 2022, following multiple surgeries to try to correct knock knees,, external which shortened her basketball career.
