‘The power of the hijab for Muslim girls in sport’

The head of Ofsted last month supported the decision of a London school who banned the hijab for girls under eight.

Staff at the school said it was to help younger girls move freely during PE lessons.

The ban was overturned a week later, but what are the risks of having these conversations and how important is it for young Muslim women to be able to wear them during sport?
