Smyth close to achieving Olympic dream
Paralympic athletics star Jason Smyth edges closer to qualifying for the Olympic Games 100m.
Like South African Oscar Pistorius, Smyth's main career ambition is to compete at both this year's Olympic and Paralympic Games in London.
The Northern Irish sprinter clocked 10.24 seconds at a meeting in Florida on Saturday which was only .06 secs outside the London 100m standard.
Smyth will have further attempts at the Olympic standard over the coming weeks.
