Diamond League: LaShawn Merritt and David Oliver win in Stockholm

New world champions LaShawn Merritt and David Oliver win in the Diamond League in Stockholm but home favourite Abeba Aregawi misses out.

Merritt strolled home in the 400m in a time of 44.69, almost a second slower than his winning time in Moscow while Oliver was equally comfortable in the 110m hurdles.

The Swedish crowd were left a little underwhelmed by the final event as Aregawi failed in her attempt to beat the national 800m record finishing sixth, with Kenya's Eunice Sum holding off American Alysia Montano down the home straight.
