Jessica Ennis-Hill leads World Championships heptathlon

Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill is in first place after two events in the heptathlon competition at the World Championships in Beijing.

Ennis-Hill finished second in her hurdles heat, with a time of 12.91 seconds. She followed that with a season's best clearance of 1.86m in the high jump to finish the day in first place overall, with 2,192 points

Fellow Briton Katarina Johnson-Thompson finished third in her hurdles heat in a personal best time of 13.37, before setting the highest clearance of 1.89m in the high jump to move her to second place overall with 2,162 points.
