Athlete Ciara Mageean set for 'whirlwind' summer

Ciara Mageean aims to compete strongly for a medal at next month's European Championships in Amsterdam as she continues her build-up to the Olympics.

The Portaferry runner won the 800m at the Northern Ireland Championships on Sunday as part of her preparation for running the 1500m in Rio.

Mageean, the only Olympic Games qualifier in action at the Mary Peters Track meeting on Sunday, clocked 2:02.84 as she finished well ahead of Kelly Neely.
