BBC Green Sport Awards 2023: Innes FitzGerald named Young Athlete of the Year

Innes FitzGerald has been named Young Athlete of the Year at the BBC Green Sport Awards for helping raise awareness about the carbon footprint of sports events.

The teenager turned down the chance to compete in the World Cross Country Championships in Australia because of the impact flying has on the climate.
