Carl Frampton world title bid 'within touching distance'

Carl Frampton's manager Barry McGuigan says his fighter will be "within touching distance" of a world title fight if he can beat Frenchman Jeremy Parodi "and look impressive in doing so" in an IBF super-bantamweight eliminator at the Odyssey Arena on 19 October.

McGuigan remains convinced that Frampton can win a world title when his big opportunity comes along.

Frampton says the fact that he has changed promoters since his last fight against Kiko Martinez in February will make no difference when he enters the ring and the bell sounds.
