Andrew Strauss: World number one ranking loss 'bitter pill to swallow'

England captain Andrew Strauss says losing their number one ranking to South Africa is a "bitter pill to swallow", after his side were defeated in the final Test at Lord's on Monday.

South Africa sealed a 51-run victory to win the series 2-0, despite some late hitting by Matt Prior and Graeme Swann which helped England get reasonably close to the target.

Speaking to the BBC's Jonathan Agnew, Strauss admits he is "very proud" of his team's performance on the final day.
