England T20 selection a step forward for Boyd Rankin
Warwickshire and former Ireland seamer Boyd Rankin tells BBC Coventry and Warwickshire he hopes selection for England's T20 squad is another step towards fulfilling his ambition to play Test cricket.
Rankin says: "It's really good to get in the squad, and hopefully I'll get a chance to play. It was great to be around the squad last time, just being around players you normally see on television.
"It was a really hard decision [to step down from Ireland] but the main thing for me is I wanted to play Test cricket and this is hopefully just another step on the way.
"Obviously I know [England one-day coach Ashley Giles] pretty well and he knows me pretty well. He knows what I can do and hopefully I can show the rest of the world what I can do as well."
