Scotland are still searching for their first World Cup win after suffering a shock one-wicket defeat by Afghanistan in Dunedin.

Afghanistan's first ever win keeps their hopes alive of reaching the quarter-finals, while Scotland, who next play Bangladesh on 4 March, are on the brink of elimination following three defeats.

Elsewhere in Pool A, centuries from Tillakaratne Dilshan (161 not out) and Kumar Sangakkara (105 not out) helped Sri Lanka to beat Bangladesh by 92 runs.
