Steve Smith (105) inspired the home side to victory by becoming only the fifth-ever batsman and first Australian to score a century in a World Cup semi-final, as well as running out India's Ravindra Jadeja with a direct hit.

Australia will now take on fellow co-hosts New Zealand in Sunday's final at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
