The Ashes 2015: Michael Clarke on retirement decision
Australian captain Michael Clarke believes his retirement is "the right decision for Australian cricket and for me", after losing the Ashes to England at Trent Bridge.
The 34-year-old right-hander insists that "the selectors have not spoken to me" and that it was his decision to step down.
Clarke will retire after the final Test at the Oval, having scored 28 Test centuries and 8,628 runs at an average of 49.30.
