Kevin Pietersen: 'No problem with Andrew Strauss, but I was misled'

Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen says he does not live in the past and holds no grudges against former captain Andrew Strauss over his decision not to recall him to the international fold.

But the 35-year-old does admit to feeling "hugely misled" by the England and Wales Cricket Board after he was told he would not be reinstated despite scoring a career-best 326 not out for Surrey.

Pietersen adds that he turned down a coaching role with the England one-day team earlier this year, but that he would be open to the idea again once his playing career is over.

Pietersen and Strauss's sometimes difficult relationship was examined by BBC Sport in an Our Tune feature in May.
