Steve Rhodes: Worcestershire boss frustrated by wet start at New Road
Worcestershire director of cricket Steve Rhodes is frustrated by the wet start to the new County Championship season at New Road after Monday's second successive abandonment in their opening fixture against Kent.
"It was so wet that, when you put your foot down, you felt the ground move," he told BBC Hereford & Worcester. "That's why they decided not to play.
"We've played plenty of games at Worcester at this time of year before. But we can't do anything about the weather so we haven't got to get too frustrated.
"It's just a case of ticking over and making sure you are in a reasonable mental state to take part in some cricket when we do get the chance."
