Special Olympics: Isle of Man team heads for Los Angeles
The Isle of Man's largest ever Special Olympics team is on its way to the United States to compete at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles.
Twenty-five Manx athletes will join 7,000 competitors from 165 countries to contest eight of the 26 sports at the event.
Team manager Beryl Wooldridge described the Games - which run from 25 July to 2 August - as the "biggest sporting event in the world this year."
The opening ceremony will he held at the Olympic Stadium in Los Angeles and will be attended by US first lady Michelle Obama as Amy Mulhern reports.
