European Aquatics Championships: GB pair miss gold after disastrous final dive

Great Britain's synchronised 10m platform diving pair Tonia Couch and Lois Toulson snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with a disastrous final dive at the European Aquatics Championships.

The pair narrowly led eventual silver medallists Ukraine heading into the fifth and final round.

However, a mistimed entry from Toulson, 16, saw them finish outside the podium places with Germany taking gold.

"Obviously we're disappointed with how it finished," Couch told BBC Sport.
