Hope Powell has confidence in her players' abilities, but acknowledges that standards have risen throughout the women's game as she prepares to announce England's World Cup squad on Friday.

England begin their World Cup campaign against Mexico on 27 June and will also face New Zealand and Japan in their other group games in Germany.

These three fixtures will be live on the BBC Red Button and the BBC Sport website.

The World Cup final, to be held on 17 July, will be shown live on BBC Three.
