Sunderland's Steve Bruce 'baffled' by Asamoah Gyan move

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce says he is "baffled" by Asamoah Gyan's decision to move to United Arab Emirates side Al-Ain on a season-long loan.

Bruce had previously stated he was confident Gyan would return to play for Sunderland next season, but now says he "does not believe" the striker will come back to the club.

Speaking after Sunderland's 2-1 defeat by Chelsea, Bruce adds that his side struggled against the excellent Blues, and had no complaints about the result.
