Roberto Martinez vows to repay Wigan chief Dave Whelan
Wigan Athletic manager Robeto Martinez tells BBC North West Tonight's Richard Askam that he wants to repay chairman Dave Whelan for his loyal support.
Whelan has given Martinez his backing despite Wigan sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table after just one win in 10 games, and the Spaniard is thankful to his boss, who he describes as a "unique motivator".
Martinez insists the Latics will "carry on fighting" to avoid relegation and also gives his reasons for rejecting a managerial position at Aston Villa, external last summer.
