John Terry not a racist, says QPR owner Tony Fernandes

Queens Park Rangers owner Tony Fernandes defends England captain John Terry, external following the Anton Ferdinand race row.

Chelsea's Terry is currently under investigation by the Metropolitan Police and the Football Association, external following allegations he racially abused the QPR defender during the recent Premier League match between the Blues and QPR.

However, Fernandes believes the Chelsea defender is not a racist and says things can be said in the heat of the moment "which don't make you really believe what you've said".
