Alan Pardew 'expected' David Luiz red card

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew says he "cannot fathom" why David Luiz was not sent off in the fourth minute of their 3-0 defeat at home to Chelsea.

The Portuguese was the last defender as he brought down Demba Ba on the edge of the area, with referee Mike Dean issuing a yellow card.

Pardew says he also found the Chelsea celebrations at the final whistle "galling" and believes his side deserved to get something out of the game.
