Steve Kean welcomes the support of Sir Alex Ferguson

Blackburn manager Steve Kean says he had a "good chat" with Sir Alex Ferguson and the Manchester United manager, along with several other managers, offered his support for the beleaguered boss, whose side currently sit bottom of the Premier League.

Ahead of their meeting on Saturday the 44-year-old also commented on how remarkable it is that Ferguson is still going approaching his 70th birthday and describes how much he admires his fellow Glaswegian's work ethic.

Kean says he is looking forward to the transfer window opening because he has spoken to the owners and they are hoping to bring some players in quickly to strengthen an injury hit squad.
