Messi could play in any generation - Sir Alex Ferguson

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes that three-time Fifa Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi is a player who could have succeeded in any generation and is in the same category as Pele and Maradona.

Ferguson says Messi's Barcelona are "by far the best team" around, and says it is not a crime or a weakness to admit that.
