Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Jack Wilshere could make his return from injury "within a month", but is more cautious over Per Mertesacker's likely return from an ankle injury.

Wilshere had surgery on an ankle injury in September before suffering a stress fracture in his right foot during his recovery.

Ahead of the Gunners' trip to AC Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday, Wenger is full of praise for the Italian club's philosophy and attitude to their players.
