Roy Hodgson proud after West Brom's Chelsea upset

West Brom manager Roy Hodgson takes pride in beating Chelsea 1-0 at the Hawthorns, ending a 15-game Premier League run of defeats by the Blues.

Gareth McAuley diverted in Liam Ridgewell's miscued shot to secure the points from an open match with Petr Cech having to make a couple of smart second-half saves before late chances for the visitors were wasted by Frank Lampard and Juan Mata.

The victory is the Baggies' third consecutive Premier League win and takes them up to ninth.
