Newcastle's Alan Pardew angered by "ugly" Sunderland derby

Alan Pardew admits he is "angry" at the physicality of Newcastle's 1-1 draw with Sunderland, saying their rivals set out to "upset" his side.

Demba Ba missed a penalty before Shola Ameobi's late winner rescued a point for Newcastle against their Tyneside rivals, who led through Nicklas Bendtner's penalty and had Stephane Sessegnon and Lee Cattermole sent off.

However, Pardew praises his side's "passionate" fightback and insists all animosity will be "dead and buried" by the next fixture.
