Chelsea are in a 'difficult situation' admits Roberto di Matteo

Interim manager Roberto di Matteo admits Chelsea have put themselves in a "difficult situation" after their 1-1 draw at Fulham leaves them two points outside the Premier League top four, but the Italian insists his side will continue to "fight" for a coveted Champions League spot.

Clint Dempsey's late goal cancelled out Frank Lampard's first-half penalty and di Matteo admits conceding the lead is "disappointing", but his side did not pose enough of a goal threat in what was a "shaky and nervy" game.
