FA Cup final: Poor start cost Liverpool, admits Dalglish
Manager Kenny Dalglish admits his players left themselves too much to do after a poor performance in the first hour of their 2-1 FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea.
The Scot is encouraged by Liverpool's performance in the last half hour but concedes that the Blues were the better side for most of the game.
Liverpool trailed after Ramires's 11th-minute strike found its way past Pepe Reina in goal before Didier Drogba doubled Chelsea's advantage.
However, the introduction of substitute Andy Carroll revived the Reds and after scoring he came close to forcing extra-time, but his header was saved on the line by Chelsea keeper Petr Cech.
