England boss Roy Hodgson encouraged by winning start

Roy Hodgson is "very satisfied" after his reign as England manager begins with a 1-0 victory over Norway.

Manchester United's Ashley Young scored the game's only goal on nine minutes, and Hodgson praises his side's work ethic in what he describes as a "tough" game at Oslo's Ullevaal Stadium.

Hodgson adds that he is "looking forward to welcoming" Chelsea players John Terry, Frank Lampard, Gary Cahill and Ashley Cole, plus Manchester United's Wayne Rooney into the squad next week.
