Lampard hopes Chelsea success can boost England chances
Frank Lampard hopes the "against the odds" mentality of Chelsea's Champions League-winning players can benefit England at Euro 2012, stating they will bring "a spring in our step" to the side.
The Chelsea midfielder, speaking before pulling up in training ahead of Saturday's pre-Euro 2012 friendly against Belgium, reveals the Chelsea players were "very thankful" for being allowed extra time to rest following a "long and hard season".
The 33-year-old is due to have a scan on a thigh injury on Thursday, with Liverpool's Jordan Henderson on standby to the replace Lampard should be be unable to recover in time for the tournament.
