Wayne Rooney expecting England to do well at Euro 2012

Wayne Rooney tells Alan Shearer he expects England to "do well" at Euro 2012, and is hoping he can "come back into a winning team" after being suspended for the first two matches of the tournament.

Rooney admits his previous major championships have "ended in disappointment", but is backing his club partnership with Danny Welbeck to flourish on the international stage, saying his Manchester United team-mate "gives me that little bit of freedom to get into space".

England begin their Group D campaign against France in Donetsk on Monday 11 June with kick-off at 17:00 BST.
