Euro 2012: Roy Hodgson positive despite defeat
England manager Roy Hodgson says his side can leave Euro 2012 "with their heads held high" despite going out on penalties to Italy in the quarter-final in Kiev.
The match had ended in a goalless draw despite the Italians dominating the game, and after Ashley Young and Ashley Cole missed their spot-kicks Alessandro Diamanti scored the decisive penalty.
Speaking after the match to BBC Sport Hodgson admits England were "tiring badly" towards the end of the game and says Italy deserved the win.
