O'Neill admits Liverpool deserved point

Martin O'Neill admits Liverpool "deserved their equaliser" following a 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light, with Steven Fletcher scoring his third goal in three games for Sunderland.

The Black Cats boss believes his side missed the injured Adam Johnson and thinks they were "getting a little bit tired" towards the end of the game, with Luis Suarez scoring and equaliser with 20 minutes remaining.

Sunderland have now surrendered the lead in all three of their league games so far this season, but O'Neill says he is "fairly satisfied" with taking three three points from three difficult opening league fixtures.
