Brendan Rodgers believes Liverpool deserved win
Brendan Rodgers praises his sides "very very good performance" following a 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light, stating he is disappointed not to have claimed maximum points from the tie.
The Liverpool manager says his side "dominated and controlled the majority of the game", and believes their fighting back from a goal down "bodes well" for future fixtures.
Steven Fletcher had given Sunderland the lead from Craig Gardner's cross, before Luis Suarez - who was booked in the first half for simulation - equalised for the visitors with 20 minutes remaining.
