Manchester United deserved to beat Newcastle - Alan Pardew

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew admits Manchester United deserved to beat his side 3-0 because they were "on fire" at the Sports Direct Arena.

The Magpies conceded two early goals from Jonny Evans and Patrice Evra in a dominant opening quarter for Manchester United, before Tom Cleverley sealed a second Premier League defeat for Newcastle.

Pardew admits he is "disappointed" with the defeat, but insists there are lots of positives to take from the performance.
