Africa Cup of Nations: Mali's Samba Sow profile

Racing Club Lens midfielder Samba Sow is hoping Mali can go one step further at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and reach the final.

Last year the Eagles secured their best finish at the tournament since 1972, as they beat Ghana to finish third.

Sow says he is delighted to play alongside his "hero" Seydou Keita, and hopes Mali can give their fans something to shout about this year.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations takes place in South Africa from 19 January-10 February.
