Paul Gascoigne has huge support says former captain Gary Mabbutt

Former Tottenham captain Gary Mabbutt says that Paul Gascoigne is "in recovery" and has the "support of the football family" after heading to Arizona last week to receive treatment for "his various illnesses".

Gascoigne was placed in intensive care in the United States after suffering a bad reaction to his treatment but Mabbutt described the reaction as "non life-threatening".

Gascoigne is still in hospital recovering but Mabbutt hopes he will leave in the next "day or two" and go back to the US Clinic Cottonwood to receive further treatment for his problems.
